Winter Pranayama Practice
Saturday, November 14
9:30am - 11:00am
Winter invites us inward—toward steadiness, quiet reflection, and deeper reserves of energy. In this 90-minute Iyengar Yoga workshop, we’ll explore pranayama practices designed to support balance, warmth, and nervous system calm during the colder, darker months.
With careful preparation and supportive seating, you’ll be guided to establish ease in the body so the breath can become smooth, even, and unforced. Using the precision of the Iyengar method, we’ll emphasize alignment, stability, and the gradual unfolding of breath awareness.
Gentle techniques will help settle mental activity, regulate energy, and cultivate a steady inner warmth—without strain or overwhelm. Restorative support may be used to create the conditions for a sustainable practice.
This workshop is perfect for students who want to improve their understanding of breathwork or start practicing pranayama in a straightforward, accessible way. Prerequisite: Yogis must have completed at least one year of yoga practice before beginning Pranayama.
